England head coach Chris Silverwood on Sunday confirmed that IPL 2021 bound England players will be available for the entire tournament, which means those involved in the IPL 2021 playoffs are most likely to miss the opening Test against New Zealand.

The IPL franchises have received a big boost going into the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) as all 7 England players part of the Test team will be available for the complete season if needed.

The IPL Governing Council on Sunday announced the schedule for IPL 2021 to be held in India across six venues from April 9. While England are scheduled to play a two-match Test series against New Zealand at home, starting June 2.

“We haven’t looked at selection or anything like that for the Tests yet, but, for me, playing for your country is a big thing. It’s difficult to change anything so they’ll be staying for the whole IPL as it stands, yes. Listen, we’ll be looking at the Test series and working our way back to see what sort of preparation we need and we haven’t done that at this time. It’s something we will be doing,” Silverwood was quoted as saying in Cricbuzz.

The 7 players who are a part of the IPL 2021 and also the England Test team are Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Liam Livingstone (all Rajasthan Royals), Sam Curran, Moeen Ali (both Chennai Super Kings), Chris Woakes (Delhi Capitals) and Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad).

England players who are a part of the IPL 2021 and also the England Test team are Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer (all Rajasthan Royals), Sam Curran, Moeen Ali (both Chennai Super Kings), Chris Woakes (Delhi Capitals) and Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad).

England players in IPL 2021 and are not part of the England Test team are Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan (both Punjab Kings), Sam Billings, Tom Curran (both Delhi Capitals), Liam Livingstone (Rajasthan) and Eoin Morgan (Kolkata Knight Riders).
